And IdiotSmoltz can't restrain himself, talks about "the Porch" even though it's no where near the Porch, landing in the pen, and is a HR not just at the Stadium, but also in 17 other MLB Parks. This crew did the game in Alabama on Friday night, they should have gave them the rest of the weekend off. |

Cutter misses outside waist high, 3-1
Would like to see Volpe pick up his pace in walks again.
Sinker down the middle, hit hard up the middle, but Morton fields and throws him out. 99 mph on that grounder.

Soto...
Takes a curve down the middle thigh high, 0-1
Curve way down and in makes him skip rope, 1-1
Change outside, 2-1
Curve low over the middle, 3-1
FB misses 2-3 inches inside at the top, ball 4.
And one of the reasons Soto has struggled in his return is that they're pitching around him more.
If Judge doesn't punish it, not many below him in the order can.

Given their records against Morton, it's no surprise he avoided Soto and is going after Judge.
Curve low, 1-0
FB hits the low outside corner not called, very bad call, 90% on Gameday
Curve breaks outside, Judge misses, 2-1
Same curve and this time Judge checks in time. 3-1
FB waist high on the corner away, Judge hits a fly to right that carries into the Porch, and the Yanks have a lead for the first time in days, 2-run HR makes it 2-1 Yanks!!
You can complain about that HR, Smoltz. Be my guest. I don't give a damm.

Stanton takes a 1st pitch cutter well low/away, 1-0
Cutter on the low/outside corner, and Stanton tries to go with it, hits a hard grounder to the right side, and as all Yankee fans know, if it's fielded it's an easy DP, Albies grabs on his left, wheels to 2nd for the force and the relay from Arcia has Stanton by plenty. Rally lilled.
Yanks up, 2-1, going top 2nd.
23 pitches for Morton in the 1st.
Riley, d'Arnaud and Laureano for the Braves in the 2nd.
Judge's 28th HR: 101.5 mph, 366 feet, 26° launch angle, a HR in just 9 of 30 MLB Parks. You guys can't see it, but I'm metaphorically mooning Smoltz over that one.

Hanging slurve outside middle, inside outed to the corner in right, off the wall in the corner, rebounds to Soto, who boots it, losing a chance to hold Riley to a long single, scored a single and E-9.

d'Arnaud takes a sinker near the corner outside waist high for a strike
Swings under a sinkere above middle, 0-2
Slider waist high, outer 3rd, and he misses under it, pops it to center, easy play for Judge, 1 down.
Lots of pitches waist high in the zone so far.

Laureano takes a sinker below the waist, outside corner, 0-1
Gets a bad cutter near the corner away below the waist, lines it to center, but it hangs up for Judge, who moves to his left to make a shoestring catach, 2 down.
