That's not a 4 seamer, Joe, that's his upper 80's cutter.

FB just outside middle middle at 93,, he swings under it somehow, got away with one Nestor, 2-2
Humps up to 95 on the FB but flew open a bit, and misses 3-4 inches outside, 3-2
Cutter into the zone up and in, swung under for the K.
If he's getting swings and misses on both his FB and cutter, AND also hitting corners, and he can hold 93-4 on a hot day, then that's probably going to be a good day for Nestor.

Didn't give anything up 18 HR last year some decent year with them Mets. Worth a shot. Def better than Jones. That's a good cheap DH pickup and a worthy bench addition, even if Stanton is back quickly. |

FB inside makes Volpe pull the hands in, 3-0
Cutter clips the inside corner, 3-1
FB probably just missed the high outside corner, called a strike anyway. Looks like 0% on Gameday, but very marginal.
FB inner 3rd, jams him, taps it back to Fried, throws him out, 1 down.
Aside from his other positives, Fried is a 3 time Gold Glove winner.
