A walk, a bloop, and a blast, Gentlemen, will get it done!

A nice scoop of Rice-A-Roni at first 🧤…
This lad is looking like a first sacker to me…

Cutter waist high inside corner, Verdugo turns on it and lines it hard, but right to Alonson, 1 down. Well, it's good to see him hit one hard, anyway.

If anyone is a Knicks fan: Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn · 11m The Knicks are sending four unprotected picks (2025, 2027, 2029, 2031) a 2025 protected Milwaukee first, a 2028 unprotected pick swap and a 2025 second-round pick for Mikal Bridges and a 2026 second-round pick, sources tell ESPN. twitter.com/wojespn/status… I'll never forget when the Sixers drafted this hometown kid, whose mom worked in their front office and then traded him an hour later for a project that was a complete bust.

Dang, indeed. Cutter up and in, but a strike, Rice swings under, 0-1 Splitter dives outside, 1-1 FB low, 2-1 Cutter up and in, bounced foul off 1st, 2-2 Sharp splitter to the knees, Rice hits it pretty hard, but grounds it right to Alonso, takes it to the bag, 2 down.

God-awful at bat from LeMahieu. Watches two strikes then swings a ball nearly in the dirt. I expect more from a former LSU boy and two-time batting champion.

They can challenge DJ with his FB without much fear. FB above middle and just inside taken, 0-1 Sinker in the zone down and in, taken, 0-2 Splitter dives well low on the inner 3rd, chased by DJ, Misses for the K, game over.
Yanks lose 9-7, their 2nd in a row and 8th in the last 11. The loss drops them to 23 over at mid-season, 52-29. The don't lose ground to the O's or Red Sox, who lost to Toronto, 9-4, so they're lucky in that way, but the Rays and Jays gain a game. O's still 2 behind, Sox still 8 1/2 back, Rays now 11 1/2 out and the Jays are 15 back.

Thank you Aaron Judge for making it close. We just saw all the proof we need to realize this Yankees team only has 2 players worth noting...Judge and Soto. It still amazes me that the team is still in first place...back peddling the way they are...the O's will start winning again, because they have the guns, but the Yanks...another 2022 looms ahead of them for the rest of 2024. Just another of the many Boone teases. Maybe they'll win 100 or 99 (like in 2022). Then the playoffs will be the usual 1 and done. Sad.
