If anyone is a Knicks fan: Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn · 11m The Knicks are sending four unprotected picks (2025, 2027, 2029, 2031) a 2025 protected Milwaukee first, a 2028 unprotected pick swap and a 2025 second-round pick for Mikal Bridges and a 2026 second-round pick, sources tell ESPN. twitter.com/wojespn/status… Thanks for the info, pres. One WFAN host was adamant that Bridges wasn't the right guy to spend all those picks on. I don't know much about him. He's another Villanova guy, right? He'd better be worth what is that, anyway? SIX first round picks and a 2nd round pick? This guy better be Maikal Jordan for that haul of potential talent.

At least we got some runs tonight… well judge did anyway ... but he & soto can't do it all by themselves. since i'm currently learning the song, as bruce said, "praying in vain for a savior to rise from these streets".

Really ? Bal has lost 4-5 in a row and is behind he Yankees Yankees took 2-3 from Cleveland in Cleveland and until recently and before all of the injuries had the best record in the MLB But injuries dont matter ... right? Ok, first of all. Enjoy the power of "maybe". And...the O's have injuries, too. 3 of their normal 5 starters are OUT FOR THE SEASON. And how have the O's been doing since they have 5 starters out? Maybe the Yankees are the best team in the league ?

God-awful at bat from LeMahieu. Watches two strikes then swings a ball nearly in the dirt. I expect more from a former LSU boy and two-time batting champion. It's tough to watch because DJ is so likeable but man he looks really bad out there.

Ok, I've checked notifications... The series finale is tomorrow at 7:10, unfotunately, the Prime Delayed Video Shame of the Weak. Sean Manaea, having a bit of an up and down season so far: 4-3 with a 4.16 ERA, will start for the Mets. Luis Gil, looking to bounce off the mat after the 2nd round knockout he suffered at the Stadium in his last start, goes for the Yanks. Even after the pasting he took last Thursday, Gil is 9-2 with a 2.77 ERA.

I think they need to have real discussions on Gleyber and DJLM they are just killing the team right now. Gleyber just decided he dint feel like running out a slow hit grounder DJL looked exactly like I would feel if I had to bend over to reach across my body for a ground ball ... it looked like his back wouldnt allow it

Maybe the Yankees are the best team in the league ? The O's are 20-12 since Wells and Kremer went on the IL, including the 5 game losing streak, and were 4-1 without Bradish, before the streak. A very simple test.... Before tonight: Guardians run differential, +105, Yankees +109, Orioles +110. The teams are essentially even through half the season, and the Indians now have the best record. They're hot and the Yanks and O's are both cold, I get it, but the 3 teams are right on top of each other.

Gleyber flinches at a straight strike from a right-hander. Then, jogs down the first base line to end the eighth for the Yankees. Gleyber not hustling...look for his days in pinstripes to be numbered. He's a pro...you're supposed to run hard every time you hit that ball. Very unprofessional on his part. I know he's frustrated with his numbers, but you can't show up your teammates because of your own personal frustrations, and that's what he did by not running hard. Of course, if he's injured, that's a different story, but I don't think he is. How many Millions $$$ has Gleyber cost himself this season ? He went from a $17-$22m 6-8 year player to ...??? $10-12M for 4ish ? He's a bad player right now

He looks like the average 35-year-old player who isn't a superstar-level talent on the downside of his career, who would have room to decline and still be effective. I'm not ready to close the book on him yet, because it's a half season for the team, but 1/8th of a season for him, but they might have a very tough decision to make on him about a month from now.

Thank you Aaron Judge for making it close. We just saw all the proof we need to realize this Yankees team only has 2 players worth noting...Judge and Soto. It still amazes me that the team is still in first place...back peddling the way they are...the O's will start winning again, because they have the guns, but the Yanks...another 2022 looms ahead of them for the rest of 2024. Just another of the many Boone teases. Maybe they'll win 100 or 99 (like in 2022). Then the playoffs will be the usual 1 and done. Sad. Can only run so many <.220 hitters out there and expect to be consistently competitive. When J D Davis is an upgrade to your roster, your roster has serous issues. With that said, Verdugo should come out of his slump. Not sure Gleyber or DJ can. One of them sure needs to.

Even at 31, he's a major league average hitter, and with what they have as an alternative, it's an improvement. Certainly worth a Groshans, who was a top 100 prospects on all three major lists...5 years ago...4 years ago...3 years ago. But not anymore. He's on his 4th team at age 24 with just 17 major league games played to this point...and was hitting .230 in AA and AAA with almost zero power. The curious part of Davis' stats this year is that he's been far better at home, in a very bad hitter's park in Oakland, than he's been on the road. Most likely explanation? Small sample size weirdness.

I don't know, .174/.275/.174 is like National League pitching hitting bad.
