I have complete faith in Hal, Cashman and Boone to straiten this mess out!  Just heard on the radio that Soto was asked about the Mets being after him and seemed to confirm that he is going FA and let the best high bid win! We still have some dead wood on this team, but I'm not mentioning any names!  |

I want him to say that he already signed a contract extension with the Yankees. He'd be foolish not to test the FA market, but what would you say the Yanks should offer him now? Some kind of deferred contract that would make him the highest paid MLB player, a full no trade, World series, playoff, and league MVP bonuses. |

We still have some dead wood on this team, but I'm not mentioning any names! I don't know, the BP has no backend pieces that are reliable, we are getting zero production from the corner infielders, our 2B is a headcase, two of our SPs who didn't pitch much last year seem to be hitting the wall, our top prospect is injured, our DH who was having a decent year is out for a month or more, we may have the weakest bench in baseball, and our ACE looks very rusty. Seems like a pretty good time to panic. |
