If Soto doesn't come back, that would mean the 2025 Yankees will have 1, I repeat 1 (ONE) REAL STAR left. There are so many holes on this team, which the last 2 weeks have exposed, that it can't be fixed even in the off-season. Soon there will be kids old enough to vote, who have never seen the Yankees raise the championship trophy! Hal is no George. Winning starts at the top! Cole has an opt out but he's a star and I expect him to be a Yankee next season. If Soto signs with the Mets I expect the Yankees to counter that by re-signing Verdugo and signing Alonzo or Bregman. We dont know if Cole is a star post injury ... we might be seeing the new Gerrit Cole |

Losing to Boston makes me mad!!! Losing to The O'S makes me nervous! Losing to the Mets makes me sick to my stomach!!!! Losing 5-0 to Toronto in the 1st inning makes me think... IT'S time to paniic!!! WTF happened to the team that was winning every series, just a couple weeks ago? Perfectly said |

IT'S time to paniic!!! WTF happened to the team that was winning every series, just a couple weeks ago? The same thing that happened to the same team 2 years ago. They have a hex on them that makes them play like the 1998 Yankees for the first third of the season, and like the 1962 Mets for the rest of the year. |

I have complete faith in Hal, Cashman and Boone to straiten this mess out!  Just heard on the radio that Soto was asked about the Mets being after him and seemed to confirm that he is going FA and let the best high bid win! We still have some dead wood on this team, but I'm not mentioning any names!  I don't have faith in any of those 3, however I think the talent will turn it around. Ultimately, the bullpen may be the reason this team doesn't win this year. They did a bad job on supplementing what they had in the off season. |

as usually one of the more positive guys in the room, have to admit concern. understand the ups & downs of a season. from the beginning felt we could compete if we stayed healthy and had bouncebacks from key players. after the amazing start which had some of us thinking "maybe", once again health has become an issue and the bouncebacks fizzled.
right now i see essentially a 2-player offense and w the wheels apparently coming off on rodon & gil, maybe a 3-starter rotation backed by a very leaky pen. the strengths have turned into weaknesses - question marks at best.
we have a number of obvious holes w no easy fixes. keep quoting the springsteen song. we need some guys to step up. still have half games left. always have to play the games. not jumping but did close the window a crack ...
