Looking at the weather radar for Corona-Flushing, a frontal line of t'storms is headed to the city but might miss the ballpark to the north.
Volpe takes a cutter barely inside, and the game gets underway on time, to my surprise.
Takes a cutter on the inner 3rd right near the first, 1-1
Cutter 3-4 inches inside, pulled down 3rd, Vientos dives toward the line to spear it, gets up, throws a one-hopper off line to the RF side, but Alonso stretches and keeps his toe on the bag as he falls to the ground to complete the out. Vientos stole a leadoff double from Volpe.
