And Rodon's night is over at 5 innings, 8 runs and 107 pitches.
I doubt what Rodon did there in talking Boone out of taking him out will mean anything, long-term
But it might.

The Yankees have essentially lost 5 of 7 games this week in first 3 innings. 4 of those started by Gil and Rodon.

Slurve misses low, outer 3rd, 2-0
Slurve outside, Judge guesses wrong, chases, 2-1
Takes his timeout
Good change drops down and in, but in the zone, fouled down, 2-2
waist high sinker, inside corner, Judge late and under, fouls it down the right side.
Tries to check on a slurve going low near the corner away, can't, 1st base ump rings him up, Judge knew and left the box almost before the final call was made, K, 1 down.
