Tails a sinker over the backdoor, waist high, 3-1
FB at the high inside corenr, Kirk inside outs a sinking liner to right, but Soto gets a good jump and catches without too much trouble, inning over.
Top 8, 9-2 Jays.
Top of the order for the Yanks in the 8th, almost certainly not vs. Berrios: Volpe, Soto and Judge.

Volpe is pretty much 1/5 every night. The Yankees should really take him out of leadoff and bat Soto and Judge 1 and 2.

Slider taken way low and away, 1-2
Sinker well low and a bit outside, 2-2
Great 2-plane sinker going out of the zone down and in, gets a swingover by Judge, K, 2 down.

Grisham doesn't get many hits, but I'll give him when he does, they're impactful...or as impactful as can be down 8-0
Credit to Rodon for fighting through. At least he settled in a bit after a ghastly first two innings. Something to build on?
Option Bickford to the Mariana Trench, too.

just got home from the gig to see this fiasco. another disastrous start for rodon and another no offense nite. will give him credit for getting through 5 but looks like he's reverted back to last year's model. with gil also struggling we're in trouble.

Loses a sinker up and in and Falefa is HBP for the 3rd time tonight, first on one foot, second on the other and now up and in.
