I usually don't conced this early, and maybe they can get to the Jays pen, because it's not good without Romano, but Guerrero can put it totally out of reach herre.

Not their career lines, but that looked like batting practice for players that weren't exactly hitting the cover off the ball.

IKF does what we had gotten him to do...putting the ball in play. He was likely the first transaction that signaled the Yankees might actually get off the false bandwagon of three true outcomes. I would say trading for Rizzo and moving Voit was the first, but trading Sanchez and putting Trevino at catcher and Falefa came soon after.

Now, that's just bad luck.

Guerrero... FB on the corner away, 0-1 FB down the middle taken, 0-2 That's Guerrero's native ability Takes a freaking FB down the middle 0n 0-1 Gets a Slurve about 2 inches off the ground over home, chops a double down the 3rd base line for 2 more, 7-1 Jays. Baseball is just dumb sometimes. Took the terrible location mistake on 0-1 Swings at a pitch he has no business hitting on 0-2, gets a 2 run doouble out of it. And now, I'd say it's over over.

Not good. Excuse me for a bit, I am on duty to make pre-dinner Manhattans. Two ounces Michter's Single Barrel Rye, one ounce Carpano Antica Vermouth, a few dashes of Angostora Bitters. Luxardo Cherry garnish. I will soon be in a more charitable mood. A votre sante'!

Why take Cousins out? What in God’s name is Boone thinking, if he’s thinking at all?

I considered that an attempt to upgrade defensively at first base (Voit was terrible) and most importantly get at least one left-handed hitter in the middle of the lineup. Or, just in the lineup.

Not their career lines, but that looked like batting practice for players that weren't exactly hitting the cover off the ball. Springer and Kirk had both heated up the last few days. But yeah. Turner woks a long at bat here, works the count to 2-2, pops one foul off 1st out of play.

IKF and Vlad Jr. are a combined 5-8 with 6 RBIs.

If DJ didn't have so many years left on his contract, IKF might be the Yankees third baseman right now. He did well for himself in free agency with the Jays.

Now 3-2 on Turner after 7 pitches FB misses high, ball 4 and the bases are loaded again, this time for Springer. A grand slam is a distinct possibility here.
