Judge takes a sinker that might have grazed the bottom of the zone, Kirk yanked it hard upward, and might have blown the call with too much movment. 1-5% on Gameday, 1-0 Judge takes his timeout, unusally early in the at bat for him Pitch clock violation on Bassitt, 2-0 Sinker down the middle, rifled back up the middle, hits Bassitt on the right arm deflects toward the right side of the infield, no play, infield hit. Bassitt hit on the forarm near the elbow. Talks it over with the manager and trainer, and trying a few warmups now.

Bassitt is a lucky man, that could have been much worse.

Judge's liner not hit all that hard for him, 101.6, but any direct hit on the arm near the elbow is bad news. He'll stay in for now, not sure he can for long as it swells up.

The hand from last night? That kinda makes beating Bassitt much much harder. Rice moves up in the order to 2nd. Cabrera will bat 8th and play right field. Sounds like he's getting an MRI. I don't know how Soto could have hit a home run if anything was broken or torn. Likely, it's just a bruise. If Mickey Mantle played today, he would have never made it to the field, much less the Hall of Fame.

Bassit is exhibiting odd body language, like he’s bored… I noticed that too, he looked odd during the Volpe at bat.

good lord soto's late scratch not a good thing. last thing we need. just when there was a glimmer of hope we might be turning it around. he did hit the HR after the slide so hopefully it's not serious.
nestor has been our "ace" during this slide so hopefully he shuts them down.

Slow curve hits the backdoor to Verdugo about waist high, 0-1 Sinker tails low/away, bounces it foul near home, 0-2 Cutter into the top of the zone in the middle, spoiled. Comes set, then steps off. Great Maddux sinker thrown at the front hip dives over the inside corner for the ꓘ, 2 down.

They should pull Bassitt… I'm pretty sure the Yankees would.

Love the double steal, but I think Rice is out…

Slow curve on the inner 3rd waist high, Torres lifts it high down the line in left, but it hooks foul out of play. Sweeper backs up high, 1-1 Sinker hits the inside corner above the waist, both runners go, and the throw might have been in time, the call is safe. But the Jays are challenging as the tag might have hit the back foot, before his front foot hit the bag. Very close, I'm not sure there's enough to overturn. Might be.

After last night, I don't trust replay anymore.
