Taking a long time with this review. Call overturned. If Rice was going on his own, it's a rookie mistake. If Boone sent him, it's a dumb manager mistake. Not just because it killed the rally. Not just because they took the bat out of their #5 hitter's hands, but also because it got Bassitt off the hook and into the clubhouse for treatment prematurely. Without Soto in the lineup, I would bet money the double steal came from the bench. I still think that Rice's one spike was on the bag just before the tag. Unbelievable that was overturned as close as it was. You might be right, rizzuto. We'll find out after the game, I guess. |

Much much better 2nd inning for Nestor, 1-2-3 on 15 pitches and 41 through 2.
Grisham, then back to the top for Volpe and Rice for the Yanks in the 3rd.

What kind of take out can you get in China? Not sure, but I know you can't get Kung Pao Chicken or Egg Fu Yung or Egg Rolls there. And there's a McDonald's near Mao's tomb in Tienanmen Square. |
