Curve hangs down the middle, Rice turns on one and drives it into the corner in right, one hops to the wall, Springer recovers, but Rice beats the play into 2nd for a 2 out double. And the Jays walk Judge to get to Verdugo.

Instead, gets a cutteer near the top, just inside middle and is late and under pops to Clement off 3rd to kill the threat.
Was a pretty good pitch to hit, no matter what Ruocco said, but Bassitt has so many pitches and so many places he can go in the zone, a hitter can't really sit on or anticipate anything.
Bottom 3, 2-0 Jays.
11 pitches in the 3rd, 37 through 3.
Top of the order for the Jays: Bichette, Falefa and Guerrero.
