Steven Kwan is at .370 for Cleveland. If his PA are a bit short they won’t be for long… Terrific ballplayer...played with Adley Rutschman at 2018 NCAA Champion Oregon State. Agreed, he gets on base, he's fast, and he's a contact hitter. Kwan is an old school leadoff hitter. |

There we go! It's over, Johnny! Over! Yankees win! Cole looked pretty darn good and many contributions from the bottom of the lineup for a change. Good to see Gleyber with another multi-hit game. Rice continues to have solid at bats. And, if DJ can start hitting, that would turn around this lineup.

Sorry about that. My browser crashed on me just before the last pitch where Jansen chased the knee high change just outside for the K that wrapped up the Yanks 8-1 win. I’m trying to get things working again and when I do, I’ll be back to do my usual post-game stuff. See you in a bit.

gain a series split which must be considered a victory at this point. all 4 games blowouts with the yankee offense clicking on all cylinders last 2 out of 3. move to within a half game of the O's who have the sunday nite game.
solid pitching all around including 4 scoreless by the pen. maybe cole is getting there.
only yankee not to join in the offensive explosion was volpe who k'd 3 times. judge homered, great to see soto back after his hand thing. in addition to judge, 2-hit games for torres, dj & grisham. rice a hit, an rbi and 2 walks. at this point contributing more offense than rizzo had.
grisham hitting .279 w 4 HR 13 RBI and OPS over 1.000 in june. gleyber 6 for his last 12, rice 6 for 10, DJ 7 for his last 16 - if these guys can carry their weight, it will make the lineup longer and take some pressure off judge & soto. great way to go into the off day.
