Cutter well high, on the outside corner, 2-1
Fb misses just below where the cutter went, 3-1
Cole held up by the ump, then he says play on.
Cole steps off to reset.
FB down the middle at 97, a good sign. Late and under, fouled off.
FB above the zone at 96, fouled almost straight back, still 3-2.
Cutter down and in, pulled foul off 1st.

Throw over on Springer.
FB misses just outside above the knees, but gets the call, 0-1 on Jansen. Gameday says 1-2%, so maybe he didn't get a call.
Gets under a FB runs in on Jansen and hits him on the front arm
1st and 2nd, 1 out for Clement.

Blows the FB by him, outer 3rd, waist high, 0-2
FB at 96 runs in and way high, he starts, and can't check, Swings as he spins out of there, K, 2 down.

Keirmaier.
Humps back up to 97, left it in the drop the bat happy zone below and inside middle, but Keirmaier missed under, fouling it back to the left.
FB outside, 1-1
Swings over a sharp dropping curve down and in, 1-2
FB misses just high on the corner away, check swing, but the 3rd backs ump says no swing.
Gameday says 1-2% strike at the top, but very marginal. So...meh.
FB on the corner away, waist high at 97, fouled off.
Finish him, Gerrit.
Gives him another curve, this one to the low inside corner, swings over it again, K, inning over.
Cole gives up a hit, hits a batter, but K's two and gets out of it.
Top 3, 4-0 Yanks.
17 pitches in the 2nd for Cole and 37 through 2.
Torres, Rice and Wells for the Yanks in the 3rd.

In the West, Seattle has fallen on hard times. Having lost 7 of 10, they're just 9 games over now at 47-38, and have allowed a red-hot Astos team to get back into it. The Astros have won 8 of 10, are back at .500 and just 4 1/2 games behind. You didn't bury them deep evnough, Mariners. The Rangers continue to flounder. As mentioned above, they've lost 6 games in a row, are now 9 games under, 4 1/2 back of Houston and 9 behind Seattle. The Angels are hot all of a sudden, having won 6 in a row. At 10 games under their just 1/2 game behind the Rangers, 5 behind the Astros and 9 1/2 out of first. The Athletics continue to take command of the race for the basemant out West. They've lost 7 of 10, are now 25 games under, 7 1/2 behind Anaheim, 8 behind Texas, 12 1/2 behind Houston and are 17 games out of 1st.

Takes a slider low/away, 1-1
Splitter down and in, stays in the zone, Torres turns on it and belts it over 3rd into the corner in left for a leadoff double.

He's going to have to start riking that splitter that starts inside to lefties and winds up low over the middle to get more chases.
FB outside, 3-2
Humps up to 98 on the FB inner 3rd, but Wells fouls it back again. Good spoil there.
FB just below the waist on the corner away, swung under for the K.
Again, a swing angle change will probably be necessary.
