I know some of you like Verdugo and I do as a left fielder, but, again, I just watched him hit a grounder to second and jog to first base. A lot of us got on Torres for doing the same thing.

Verdugo... Takes a sweeper outside, 1-0 A FB in almost the same spot, 2-0 Misses a crushable sinker above and inside middle, fouled off, 2-1 Sinker waist-high, inside corner, rolled over to India, throws him out, inning over.
Top 8, 5-4 Reds. 6-7-8 for the Reds in the 8th: Martini, Marte, and Fairchild.
Judge's 32nd HR: 112.5 mph, 381 feet, 25° launch angle, a HR in 28 of 30 MLB parks. Fenway might one of the ones that isn't.

Does anyone else hate to get a call from work in the evening while watching a ball game? Evidently, I might have to work on Friday after July 4th. I was hoping to leave tomorrow afternoon for Louisiana, celebrate my sister's birthday (July 4), see my family, eat some great food, and and stay until the weekend. Now, it looks like I won't be able to go anywhere at all. "If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all Gloom, despair, and agony on me"

Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be able to retire. I should have become an international assassin like my grandparents wanted.

Chases a 96 FB just outside at the top of the zone, K. Inning over. Bottom 8, and the excellent setup man, Fernando Cruz, set to pitch the 8th for the Reds. He'll hace Torres, Rice and LeMahieu.

Cruz with a 3.82 ERA, but 60 K's in 35 innings, thanks to an outstanding splitter.

His splitter is a ridiculous +10 runs in "run value" Good starters don't have pitches with that much run value.

Torres... takes a cutter to the knees in the middle, 0-1 Splitter bounced outside 2-1 FB misses just inside above the waist, amybe. Gameday says 1-5% strike, so marginal gift to Torres Cuter backs up inside, 3-1 Cutter goes just outside, Torres tries to pull and pulls off it, 3-2 Splitter coming here.

And there it is, and Paulie was right, the movement was like a knuckler, dives both outside and down, out of the zone, Torres takes a weak hack and K's, 1 down.
