Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be able to retire. I should have become an international assassin like my grandparents wanted. But you’d have had to shoot Pippsheadache… or be shot by him… You take the jobs you like, turn down the ones you don't. In "Three Days Of The Condor," Joubert said, "Oh, no - it's quite restful. It's almost peaceful. No need to believe in either side, or any side. There is no cause. There's only yourself. The belief is in your own precision. I don't interest myself in "why." I think more often in terms of "when," sometimes "where," always "how much."

The owner of our company hasn't even told us yet if we are working on Friday. I always hated it when they wouldn’t say… Very annoying.

De La Cruz takes a cutter outside of middle, waist high, 0-1 FB up and away, 1-1 Change well outside, 2-1 Beats him with a FB at the top in the middle at 95, swung under, 2-2 It's not a question of gettin Gil "throwgh this". Change drifts low, takes it, 3-2 It's a question of not having enough tools to work with, 2 good pitches, a medicore slider and poor command and control isn't good enough to get MLB hitters out for long. He has to adjust and right now, has nothing to adjust with.

Change low, rolled down the line at 1st, the ball hits the bag and caroms to the right, but Rice stays with it, steps on first to end the inning. Good hands there, Ben. Bottom 9, and the Yanks must get at least one run of Edwin's little brother, Alexis Diaz, who's an excellent closer in his own right.

Does anyone else hate to get a call from work in the evening while watching a ball game? Evidently, I might have to work on Friday after July 4th. I was hoping to leave tomorrow afternoon for Louisiana, celebrate my sister's birthday (July 4), see my family, eat some great food, and and stay until the weekend. Now, it looks like I won't be able to go anywhere at all. "If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all Gloom, despair, and agony on me" That sucks rizz! You can't get out of it? That's terrible. Unfortunately, no. I got the call when the Yankees scored three runs. Evidently, I'll be working with some attorneys and unless they have all the information and access that they need or find what they are looking for, I'll have to work Friday. PITA.

FB 94-5 about 57%, excellent slider 87 about 43% for Diaz.

Boone's decision to bring in Ferguson to pitch to De La Cruz is the difference in this game.

Grisham takes a FB outside corner waist high, 0-1 Fb above middle, fouled off. Takes the slider right down the freaking middle, SMDH, ꓘ, 1 down. I don't care if hasn't seen it, or if he's wearing sunglasses at night, Grisham can't take that pitch down the middle on 0-2, Paulie. He has to at least offer at it.

That was a pathetic ninth... I guess that is what quality closers do...
