India takea a FB well outside near the top, called a strike anyway, a gift for Rodon on the 1st pitch, 3 inches outside on Gameday

Misses a FB dotted on the low outside corner at 93 for a K, 1 down.

Fouls off a thigh high slider near middle, 0-2
Curve dives low near middle, 1-2
Slider misses the back door by a good 2-3 inches, called strike 3 anyway, another gift for Rodon. ꓘ, 2 down.

Flies open on a slider misses way up and outside, 3-1
Fb in the zone low/away, fouled, 3-2
FB up and in Candelario, misses under, hits a high fly to Verdugo in left center, and shakes his head in disgust. Easy play, inning over.

15 pitch 1-2-3 in the 1st for Rodon, and that inning could hardly have gone better for him with 2 K's and a high flyout.

As usual, on the webcast, I'm about 3-4 pitches behind the action.
Volpe steps in...

FB misses the corner inside by about an inch, but considering some of the calls Rodon got in his half, that one's not too bad, 1-1
Change hangs up and away, 2-1
Change into the top of the zone called strike 2.
Slider in a crushable spot, in the middle thigh high, but Volpe misses under, pops to Marte in foul ground, 1 down.

Gets a sweeper outside middle, pulls through the right side for a 1 out single.

Judge takes a back leg sweeper that bounced, 1-0
Change waist high, outer 3rd, popped to India on the grass in right center, 2 down. Missed a hittable change there.

Soto is always on base. Maybe time for him to leadoff and move Volpe. Boone said they'd think about it. Volpe could steal more elsewhere in the lineup too.

Steer goes after a 1st pitch FB on the corner away, waist high, hits a fliner to deep right, but Soto goes back to the track and catches it with a late jump, 1 down.

Stephenson takes a FB low.
Then gets a waist high FB on the outside corner, hits a fliner off the end of the bat to center, falls in front of Judge for a 1 out single, and Rodon has to pitch from the stretch for the first time tonight
