Lately every pitcher we face looks like Cy Young.

Jones takes a FB above middle for a strike. FB misses just high on the inner 3rd, but is called strike 2 anyway, not a terrible call, but not a good one. High Sweeeper swerves into the zone in the middle, swung under for the K, inning over.
Top 3, 2-0 Reds. 13 pitches for Abbott in the 2nd, 27 through 2.
Dunn, then back to the top for India and De La Cruz for the Reds in the 3rd.

Yanks have hit some balls pretty hard, but not hard enough.

Going to the break, YES showed the big yellow Stanton Island Ferry that we rode on to take some great photos of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.

Dunn bluffs a bunt, takes a curve on the back leg, 1-0 Swings over a slider in the same area, 1-1 Slider backs up high, 2-1 Swings early and over a change below middle, 2-2 Fouls off a slider on the inside corner Chases a change outside waist high, and misses for the K, 1 down.

India takes a slider into the zone in the middle above the waist, bad location, but it's strike 1 Change backs up way outside, 1-1 Change backs up way high, 2-1 Chases a FB up and away out of the zone, 2-2 Takes a change missing down and in, 3-2 Poorly thrown slider misses just inside at the top, ball 4, loading the cannon for De La Cruz.

Lately every pitcher we face looks like Cy Young. The script is getting old. Our pitcher gives up a home run with someone on base, and our offense is Soto and Judge. If they make outs, we have to wait until they hit again to see any action. Wash, rinse, repeat, was, rinse, repeat. Game after game.

Bounces a curve over home, 1-0 Change in the middle of the zone, but De La Cruz tops it to DJ at 3rd, he gets the force at 2nd, 2 down. De la Cruz should be running on Rodon and Trevino, possibly more than one base, too.

Going to the break, YES showed the big yellow Stanton Island Ferry that we rode on to take some great photos of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. One of the best free rides you can ever take and it's been operating for over 200 years. A must for any NYC visitor.

Treviño throws to second base like he's throwing the ball back to the pitcher.

Candelario takes a curve low, near middle, 1-0 Change at the bottom in the middle, swung on and missed, 1-1 Slider bounced as De La Cruz steals 2nd easily, 2-1 Candelario just missed belting one last time on the high fly. Rodon thinks about things and steps off, looks De La Cruz back to 2nd Bad slider inside middle waist high, but Candelario hits it hard just foul off 1st with Davis way off the bag. Yanks got lucky there. Bounces the back leg slider, 3-2 Big curve drops the knees near middle, Candelario swings over it and K's, inning over.
Bottom 3, 2-0 Reds. 20 more pitches for Rodon in the 3rd, 55 through 3.
Trevino, then back to the top for Volpe and Soto for the Yanks in their half of the 3rd.

Treviño throws to second base like he's throwing the ball back to the pitcher. Yeah. That was an unimpressive throw. Wasn't going to get him anyway. But still...
