Rodon hasn't been awful but the mistakes are being punished. I noticed from the first inning that the Reds hitters seemed to be thinking home run. Using uppercuts and trying to pull the ball into the left field corner. It worked well twice for them…I think it’s something they had scouted out about Rodon…

I have been complaining about Rodon, but I should be complaining about our pathetic offense. Soft ground balls and weak fly balls.

Slider to India misses just high. Maybe. 1-2% on Gameday FB well outside called a strike anyway, terrible call. Missed by 4-5 inches on Gameday. Fouls off a change well low, 1-2 Fouls off another change low and near the corner away. FB above and inside middle, fouled off. Chases a curve bounced down and in, K, inning over.
Bottom 5, 3-0 Reds. 18 pitches for Rodon in the 5th, and 86 through 5.
Trevino, then back to the top for Volpe and Soto, in the Yankees' 5th.

1st pitch curve to Trevino stays outside, waist high, 1-0 FB misses up and away, 2-0 FB pretty much bounced over the middle of the plate, 3-0. NTY is Ken Griffey, Sr. I know I'm not in first because of my webcast delay.

FB on the outside corner is a strike, 3-1 on Trevino. FB outside, ball 4. and this offense better damn well do something with a leadoff walk from Trevino and the "good hitters' due in.

Volpe gets a change up in the zone, tries to bunt, but bunts foul, 0-1 Fb in the zone down and in, taken. SMDH, 0-2 Change grounded and it's blue on Gameday, and I think he reached safely, then it changes to violet and it somehow turned into a forceour 6-4. I guess I'll see it now. Have no idea how that was ever blue...Soft grounder to short, glove flip to India, but Volpe barely beats the replay. Hit that one off the end of the bat.

Over the past 30 days, excluding Soto and Judge, Yankees are rocking a 76 wRC+ and a 1.2 fWAR Soto and Judge? A 223 wRC+ and 3.5 fWAR 2 players are almost tripling the value of the rest of the lineup combined IN April and May, the pitching was good enough to win with just those two.

Soto gets a curve above the zone, called a strike anyway, bad call. 0-1 Change misses low, 1-1 FB above the zone, and Soto guess what??? Misses just under, flies to medium deep right center, 2 down. Even the good hitters are missing under this guy's FB, there's something weird about it, Can't put my finger on it.

At this rate we will loose tonight and possibly be swept before facing Boston.

Judge gets a change in the zone for a strike that's called a ball, Yanks get ANOTHER favorable call. Takes a 2nd change above middle, 1-1 Slider hits the back door waist high, 1-2 Sweeper dives across the zone, waist high, inner 3rd and Judge misses under, pops to center, inning over.
These are the good hitters who can't make solid contact on Abbott, 3rd time through the order, and he hasn't gone past the 5th in 3 of his last 4 starts.
Top 6, 3-0 Reds. 15 pitches for Abbott in the 5th, 78 through 5. De La Cruz, Candelario and Steer for the Reds in the 6th.

De La Cruz takes a sldier above middle, then a FB well outside, 1-1 Gets under a change near middle, hits a high fly to medium deep right, Soto goes back a couple of steps, then sets and catches, 1 down.
