I don’t recognize 1/2 of the bullpen when they’re coming in… Time for names on the uniforms.

Soto with a very A-Rod like stat pad HR. No such thing. A HR is a HR, he earned it.

The Yankees are on the verge of going 5-14 in their last 19 games. How bad does it have to get before firing someone is a legit possibility? What good would the Yankees firing anyone do?
The Yankees are in a slump. Players aren't putting up stats that match the back of their baseball cards. Changing managers or general manager isn't going to change that.

In the old days Grishom would find his ass on the bench or sent to the minors. Just a poor look especially from a guy who is a poor hitter. Words that I thought I would never say. I wish Omar Moreno was on the Yankees.

Gotta win at least one this weekend (preferably more) to not give the Sox life.

I never thought they were as good as the start. A very top heavy lineup and pitching performing way over their heads. The injuries and dreadful lack of depth has lead to this horrible stretch. I don’t expect too much to change in the near future. Tbis is likely correct. It won't change. Until it does. If it does, but I think it will at some point.

They might not be a .700 winning percentage team but they aren't a .235 winning percentage team either no one is..(4-13 record since being 50-22). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No rest for the weary, the Yanks already had their day off for this week, and the still hot Red Sox come into the Stadium tomorrow for a 3-game series fresh off a sweep of the Marlins, having won 14 of 20, and having gained 8 1/2 games on the Yanks in that stretch.
Unbelievably, for the first time I can remember in recent years, all of the games are on YES; none are scheduled for the excerable FOXPukeCast or ESPNSundayNightBefoulingCast.
1st game is tomorrow evening at 7:07 pm. Tanner Houck, having a terrific season despite a 7-6 record, starts for Boston. He's 4th in innings pitched, 6th in ERA, 8th in WHIP, and 9th in K's and 2nd in lowest HR/9 innings. Nestor Cortes will go for the Yanks. Nestor was slapped aroound by the Jays a bit in his last start, and is now 4-7 on the season with a 3.51 ERA.
2nd game is 1:07 on Saturday afternoon. Josh Winckowski makes his 5th start for the Sox. So far, he's 2-1 with a 2.80 ERA and has pitched good games against the Jays and the Padres in his last two starts. Gerrit Cole makes his 4th start of the season, hoping to build on his last outing against the Jays, where he went 5 solid innings for the win. Cole is 1-1 with a 6.23 ERA so far.
3rd game is the usual slightly later 1:37 pm Sunday afternoon matinee. Kutter Crawford, having a solid season despite a 4-7 record, tries for another win against the Yanks. His ERA so far this year is 3.42. Luis Gil will try once again to shake his very poor pitching of late. Gil is 9-4 on the season with a still-respectable 3.41 ERA, but has been hammered his last three starts, giving up 16 earned runs and striking out just 6 batters over 9 2/3 innings.
Series preview done, I make one last check for notifications.

why the fuck do we have a manager with ZERO experience running the most prestigious sports franchise in the world??? I think that at THIS point, having managed the team now for 6 1/2 seasons, it's fair to say Boone no longer has ZERO experience.

Gotta win at least one this weekend (preferably more) to not give the Sox life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Unfortunately, anthony, the Sox already have life. Thanks to their young, contact and speedy young players, the buzzed around the Yanks last series and have won 12 of 18 since, gaining 8 1/2 games on the Yanks since June 12th. It's going to be hard for the Yanks to contain them, unless the team can hit their starting pitching, which looks much better than the Yanks' does right now.

OK, notifications checked and responded to, I take my leave for now. See you tommorow for the usual pre-game monologue. Good late afternoon to all of you. Bye for now.
