Gotta win at least one this weekend (preferably more) to not give the Sox life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Unfortunately, anthony, the Sox already have life. Thanks to their young, contact and speedy young players, the buzzed around the Yanks last series and have won 12 of 18 since, gaining 8 1/2 games on the Yanks since June 12th. It's going to be hard for the Yanks to contain them, unless the team can hit their starting pitching, which looks much better than the Yanks' does right now. I meant more of if the Yankees win one game the Sox can't be closer than 4.5 games. If the Yankees don't win any it's 2.5 games. Winning at least one helps a lot for sure. Just checking scores. My goodness this team is horrible right now. Get to the All-Star Break and regroup.

The last 20 games are a reminder of last season to a great extent. Only difference is we have Judge and Soto as opposed to just Judge last year. Rest of lineup is not good. Many bad hitters who don't hit for average and chase balls outside the zone. Torres, DJL have been huge disappointments. Not getting much out of catcher as Trevino looks like 2023 version not 2022. Bench is useless. Jones and Grishom can't hit and now we are seeing them in the lineup more often due to injuries. You can guarantee that when Stanton comes back it will take him a month to get acclimated again. Happened last year where he spent weeks off balance and swinging at balls in the dirt after he came back from being injured and Rizzo wasn't really doing anything when he got hurt so not sure he adds anything upon returning. And I haven't even discussed the bull pen which is a mess.

They might not be a .700 winning percentage team but they aren't a .235 winning percentage team either no one is..(4-13 record since being 50-22). I couldn't agree more. The Yankees have been slumping. In my opinion, much of it has to do with timing. When they get good pitching they don't hit and vice versa.

I think most if not all of us agree but after 80+ games a lot of us are asking just who are they.

But I'm also starting to think that Wells should also play everyday. The Yankees also have to strengthen their bench. He won't play everyday but promoting Jorbit Vivas would improve the Yankees bench.
It would also allow me to yell "JORBIT!!!" when he hits a HR, like the church choir yelled "NORBIT!" did in the movie "Norbit".

Rice plays 1B, Rizzo DHs unless Stanton is off the IL. If Stanton is off the IL, if it was up to me Boone should make Rice the starting Catcher. That's how much I like Rice. But the Yankees don't care how much I like Rice, so unless a trade is made Rice most likely will be sent to Triple A. The latter scenario in my opinion stinks on ice.

I just want to say, far be it from me to argue with technology. But if that called 3rd strike to Judge was a borderline strike or not, I just want to say that I can't remember borderline calls going against a superstar player of Judge's stature in any sport. I don't know what the percentages are, but it seems to me that he hardly gets the benefit of the doubt on the low strike calls.

Agree 100% with Rice and Wells, but I think Vivas should play everyday or close to it ... We need to know if he is the heir to 2nd base ... Dj can play occasionally at 1st, 2nd or 3rd vs LP. Cabrera and Trevino should be packaged for a Pitching.

Rizzo is out for a long time and then needs minor league games , he'll be gone next year as welll So I wouldnt worry about Rizzo

The Mets are a .494 team but everyone is going crazy because they had a small hot streak but ... They are what their record says they are , a sub .500 team The Orioles went through a 4-8 Strentch .333 I ddint hear 1 person question who they were? They are a .500 team over their last 20 games is that who they are or are they the .632 team that their record says they are? Beggining of the Year everyone said the Braves .553 and Dodgers .602 were the best teams in baseball ... Yet they have a worse record than they Yankees
