De La Cruz goes, Steer takes a waist high cutter inside middle, Wells rushes the throw, it bounces past Cabrera into right center, De La Cruz gets to 3rd on the SB, E-2.
Swings over a slider going out of the zone just low/away 2-2
Slider on the corner away, thigh high, misses late and under, pops to Soto in short right, easy play, inning over.
Bottom 1, 0-0
14 pitches for Stroman in the 1st, and a good job by Marcus working through multiple distractions: the pre-game foolery, the long delay on the review over defensive positioning and trying to battle to keep De La Cruz from stealing.

FB in the zone, above and outside middle, taken, 3-1
Sinker low in the zone, near middle, late and under, fly ball foul back of 3rd, slices just out of play. 3-2
FB to almost the same spot, maybe a bit lower, late and fouled off.
FB on the corner inside, waist high, foul tipped into the mitt, K, 1 down.
Well, it was a leadoff out, but he did make Montas throw 7 pitches.

1st pitch FB at the top, outside middle at 97, Soto belts it to deep left of center, Benson races back to the track and leaps to catch it, smacking into the wall padding. Would not have been a HR, but a fine play by Benson. 2 down.

Montas throwing harder than usual so far.
A Cutter dives just low/away out of the zone, Judge swings over it for the K, inning over.
Top 2, 0-0
11 pitch 1-2-3 for Montas in the first with 2 K's.
Fraley, Marte and Martini for the Reds in the 2nd.
