Worst loss of the year considering who we were playing and how we blew a two-run lead with two outs. What a punch to the stomach.

I'm a glutton for punishment so I'm watching the postgame show.

Sorry Qwik - this is just undisciplined baseball. And the Sox weren't able to take advantage of the mistake Wells made in not getting the sure out at 1st with nobody out in the 8th. Weaver worked out of that with some clutch pitches.

If anyone cares at this point, Rangers still lead the Rays, 3-0 in the 8th in Arlington. O's lead the A's 3-1 in the 4th in Oakland, the Yanks are soon going to be 3 games back. M's lead the Jays 2-0 in the 4th, but that game almost doesn't matter to the Yanks. They might wind up trying to get past Seattle for a wild card later on, I guess. O's did blow the lead yesterday, but def have less faith in the A's than Mariners. Looks like Sundays game is on ESPN???

I'm a glutton for punishment so I'm watching the postgame show. They shut it off on extra innings, I flipped it to Astros/Twins.

Yes, at one strike away from a 3-1 victory there’s no reason to lose this game. Yes, it was another blown save for Holmes who they can DFA for all I care. The issue now isn’t just a nightmare stretch of loses but now just complete undisciplined baseball.

Judge is 0-11 in his last 3 games with a pair of walks, they can't afford to have him go into a slump.

The Volpe running fiasco came back to bite them for sure 1 more run there and that 2 run hr doesn't tie. I'd say hope for Cole to shut them down tomorrow, but Nestor did today and still didn't win.

Game 2 is tomorrow at 1:07 pm on YES. Josh Winckowski makes his 5th start for the Sox since being put in rotation, he's 2-1 with a 2.89 ERA and saved the 3rd game of the Padres series in Fenway with 5 shutout innings for the W last Sunday. Gerrit Cole makes his 4th start for the Yanks. He was very bad against the Mets two starts ago, but pitched very well against the Jays last time out.
Not only do I have to work extra hard to get the game preview ready because of the The Saturday Leaders™, but I also have to get it in early because of the matinee start. I think I'll just rollover and stay in bed. Fed up with this stuff right now. This was an awful, awful loss. Sox HANDED them their 3 runs, Yanks did nothing offensively. Nestor and Weaver pitched their butts off, only to see Weaver and Kahnle flush this game down the toilet. Soto comes ready for Jansen and hammers two shots off him, one for a single that brought the winning run to the plate and Judge and Verdugo flushed that down the toilet, too. That game shouldn't come down to Cabrera vs. Jansen, but that's where it wound up.
You know what? Although I'd love to have Soto as a Yankee the next 10 years, this organization DOESN'T DESERVE HIM, his elite skill, his passion, his mental toughness at the plate. He oughta ask for a trade right now.
I'll check and respond to notifications now, and then I'll get going.

It’s 2022 all over again. The silver lining is hopefully Boone and Cashman get booted far away from this franchise.

Send them all down (except judge and Soto) and if they are out of options DFA them. Get rid of Cashman. This is inexcusable.
