It’s 2022 all over again. The silver lining is hopefully Boone and Cashman get booted far away from this franchise. I really hate using 2022 as a comparison, because that team did still win the division and got in by 7 games, and made the ALCS. None of those things are guarantees right now as they are not leading the division.

If management wanted to send a message to this lazy team, they would send Volpe back to Scranton for a couple of weeks, but they will never do it. Does he have options? It's only his second season, he can be sent down.

If anyone cares at this point, Rangers still lead the Rays, 3-0 in the 8th in Arlington. O's lead the A's 3-1 in the 4th in Oakland, the Yanks are soon going to be 3 games back. M's lead the Jays 2-0 in the 4th, but that game almost doesn't matter to the Yanks. They might wind up trying to get past Seattle for a wild card later on, I guess. O's did blow the lead yesterday, but def have less faith in the A's than Mariners. Looks like Sundays game is on ESPN??? Yeah, they moved it to the ESPN Sunday Night AwfulCast, on the Yankees schedule, when I checked it yesterday, it was at 1:37 on YES. Unless they moved it earlier and the official Yankees scheduole didn't pick it up until last night.

Thanks. Having Berti injured right now really limits the team a bit since he is a capable infielder, but Volpe might just need a head reset. Even if not a send down maybe sit a bit like Gleyber which seemed to help?

Feels like no lead is safe and any deficit is insurmountable. Really a bad team right now.

Yanks moved Durbin to the 60-day IL a few days ago, so it ain't him. Vivas is a possibility and so is Peraza. They're both on the 40-man roster. Both are playing at AAA and both are healhty there right now. Vivas is 15-41 in his last 11 games with 4 doubles, 2 HR, 5 BB and 7 K. Peraza was hot: 12-31 over 8 games, but is now 1 for his last 11.

Boone said it wasn't that serious on the postgame interview for what its worth. He may miss a few games or he may go on the IL, we'll see.

Boone keeps defending this garbage. He's a joke.

True enough of Peraza. I think they need to just go back to just picking a lineup and sticking with it like they were early on. Let Rice play every game. Give Wells more chances. Enough of Jones etc.
