OK, that's more than enough for tonight. Notifications checked and answered. See you guys tomorrow afternoon, Lord only knows why. Maybe to see if Cole can pitch well against a hot team. Good night to all of you, such as it is. Bye.

Gleyber could be headed to the injured list, groin injuries just don't go away without rest. Boone said it wasn't that serious on the postgame interview for what its worth. He may miss a few games or he may go on the IL, we'll see. "May miss a few games" Great, so they'll be shorted handed for the rest of this series. This injury has been bothering him for a while, put him on the injured list and bring him back after the all star game.

Thanks. Having Berti injured right now really limits the team a bit since he is a capable infielder, but Volpe might just need a head reset. Even if not a send down maybe sit a bit like Gleyber which seemed to help? Given the lack of production the Yankees have gotten from their infielders, I wouldn't be too concerned. As long as they all hustle, I'll go with Davis, Oswaldo, Viva and Rice for a stretch and see if it shakes things up. DJ looks soft, old and disinterested. Maybe he wants to play golf with Hicvks.

With Torres possibly going on the IL any infielder they call up will likely replace Gleyber, not Volpe. Yanks moved Durbin to the 60-day IL a few days ago, so it ain't him. Vivas is a possibility and so is Peraza. They're both on the 40-man roster. Both are playing at AAA and both are healhty there right now. Vivas is 15-41 in his last 11 games with 4 doubles, 2 HR, 5 BB and 7 K. Peraza was hot: 12-31 over 8 games, but is now 1 for his last 11. Hopefully it will be Vivas if Gleyber goes to the IL. I agree with you, kaybli. They gave up a former #1 pick in Trey Sweeney for him, I think they should give him a look if Torres is put on the IL. Can't hurt to have a younger, faster, acrive type of player added to the roster.

Thanks for posting this. I didn't know that Grisham still had options. Volpe isn't going anywhere because they need his defense at SS, so send Grisham down instead.

I wish I could argue with that DJ part. He may know he's finished but still wants to collect on the contract.

All right, that's it for me. Too annoyed to rehash further. Good night, all.

Boone keeps defending this garbage. He's a joke. Any player hitting under .180 has no excuse for not hustling on every play. Don't care how veteran they are or how successful they've been in the past. Not that there's any excuse for not hustling anyway.

This is the worst team in baseball RIGHT NOW. They can't hit, they can't run the bases, they can't field, the starting pitching is mostly awful, and the bullpen is a horror show. Top to bottom, they stink.

DJ looks soft, old and disinterested. Maybe he wants to play golf with Hicvks. That's called the Cashman Retirement Plan. Next year Hicks, DJ and Rizzo could all be still getting paid by the Yankees while playing golf.

With some luck Cash will fill out the foursome and Boone will continue the role he plays so well...the caddie !
