Sorry, chi, that makes too much sense, have to get both Lemahieu and Cabrera in the lineup every day. It's just so frustrating with this team at times. They need to win at least 1 game this weekend to keep the Red Sox at a distance of 4.5 games. Hopefully they can at least do that... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The real issue is that Torres has not been significant this season. Entering 2024 I thought this guy would land a "generational" contract...one that exceeds $150 M. I don't know if a chronic injury is impacting his work or its the pressure of free agency or something else....but Torres missing a few games just doesn't bother me.

If only the Boss was still alive... Fire Boone and Cash tonight. Spend some money second. And that worked once in 1978 with a team that was the defending champs that was so good that they probably would have won anyway without changing managers. |

With Torres possibly going on the IL any infielder they call up will likely replace Gleyber, not Volpe. Yanks moved Durbin to the 60-day IL a few days ago, so it ain't him. Vivas is a possibility and so is Peraza. They're both on the 40-man roster. Both are playing at AAA and both are healhty there right now. Vivas is 15-41 in his last 11 games with 4 doubles, 2 HR, 5 BB and 7 K. Peraza was hot: 12-31 over 8 games, but is now 1 for his last 11. Hopefully it will be Vivas if Gleyber goes to the IL. In my opinion, Jorbit should be promoted regardless. |
