O'Neill takes a big breaking slider that started outside and roke into the zone low and outside middle, 0-1
FB inside corner, just below the waist, he inside-outs a sinking fliner to right, but Soto comes in quickly to make a catch as he slides to the ground. Inning over.
Good start for Cortes, 1-2-3 on 11 pitches
Bottom 1, 0-0.

Rice leads off.
Sinker tails outside, waist high 1-0
Flies open, splitter hangs high and outside, 2-0
There's the sharp slider and even though it ended up in a hittable spot, the extreme break froze Rice, 2-1
Splitter into the zone low/away, fouled.
Slider outside below the waist, 3-2
Splitter thigh high, outside corner, Rice late and under, pops it foul back of 3rd, Devers gets over and makes a fine catch as he crashes over the tarp. 1 down.

Splitter hits the outside corner near the knees, Soto takes, but doesn't get the Soto-call. ꓘ, 1 down. Soto didn't like it but it was 20-25% on Gameday. 2 down.
