Forgot to give pitch mix in Winckowski's repetoire section: sinker 95 about 33%, cutter 90 about 36%, slider 85 about 14%, change 91-2 about 13%, and FB 94-5 about 4%

Volpe gets a 1st pitch sinker just above middle, hit hard to the right side, but Smith dives to his left to grab it, flips to Winckowski, 1 down.
1 pitch 1 out after Cole threw 23 in the heat. Not smart, Anthohy.

Grisham takes a sinker almost right down the middle, 0-1
Fouls off a cutter below middle, 0-2
FB way way high, 1-2
Cutter way high near middle, 2-2
Chases a good 2-plane change going low on the outer 3rd, K, 2 down.
At least he made him throw 5 pitches.

Trevino takes a cutter high above middle, 1-0
Takes a FB in almost the same spot about 3 inches above the top of the zone, 2-0
Cutter was supposed to be away, but backs up just high on the inside corner, 3-0
Damn it, don't give that stupid 3-0 call on THAT pitch!!
Sinker misses inside by a good 3 inches, called a strike anyway. 0% on Gameday and not close. Very bad call.
Sinker is ON the corner inside, taken for strike 2.
Fairly obvious makeup call on the sinker at the bottom of the zone, 70% strike on Gameday, called ball 4 anyway.
Trevino works an important walk because:
1) It gets Cole some much needed rest and
2) Clears Cabrera for the 3rd inning.

Cabrera takes a sinker down the middle, 0-1 Takes a sinker on the corner away, 0-2 Cutter hangs way high, 1-2 Slider bounced over home, 2-2 Sinker well high, 3-2 Change hangs just outside middle, pulled hard to the right side, beats Valdez' dive to his left for a hit, Trevino to 3rd with 2 down. Big call on that 3-2 to Trevino now, hunh? |

Another sinker up and in, makes him bend back out of the way.
Cutter misses the high outside corner, ball 3.
FB well high inside middle, missed by 6 inches, ball 4.
LeMahieu walks to load them up for Rice.
