Grisham takes a FB low, 1-0 Cutter on the corner away, 1-1 Cutter on the inside corner not called, should've been 30-40% on Gameday, 2-1 Cutter on the outside corner taken, 2-2 Cutter on the inner half at the knees, lined right to Hamilton and Cabrera took off too soon, tries to get back, can't, gets doubled off, killing that rally. 2 down.

DJ... Slider hangs high, 1-0 Cutter clips the very bottom of the zone outside middle. And the TOOTBLAN by Cabrera costs, as DJ gets a hanging cutter outside middle, drives it to deep right center, off the wall, and he slides in ahead of the throw for a two out double.

Cabrera baserunning mistake costs us a run, looks like adjustment to Rice is offspeed stuff at the bottom of the zone.

Rice takes a cutter that brushes the inside corner, thigh high, 0-1 Takes a FB high. And the 3 HR game has changed the way the Sox pitch him. Swings over a splitter diving low, then swings over a sharp cutter to the low-inside corner. We'll see if Rice can adjust to teams pitching him with more breaking stuff and more carefully at the edges and just outside the zone. K, inning over. Top 7, 0-0. Yanks actually made Crawford work a bit, 14 pitches and 54 through 6. At that rate, he'll only be able to go 11 innings. Heart of the order 3-4-5 for the Sox, probably against Weaver, who they're seeing for the 2nd time this series: O'Neill, Devers and Wong.

Gil stays in... FB in the zone below and outside middle, taken, 0-1 FB well outside, 1-1 FB way outside, 2-1. Uh, Eduardo? He had to throw 25 pitches. In this heat, in the 6th inning, that's stressful. By far his longest inning so far. Slider away, waist high, O'Neill tries to pull, rolls it over to DJ, fields, throws him out, 1 down.

Fb clips the edge of the corner away, up in the zone, 0-1 on Devers. Change misses by plenty, 1-1 FB outside, 2-1 Change to the knees, big Reggie swing puts him on a knee, 2-2 Terrible mistake with a FB. Waist high middle at 99, and he doesn't have to pull it, drives it to deep left, gets into the first row for a solo HR, 1-0 Sox. Too late, Boone.

Wong gets another mistake FB below and inside middle, and he's a bit late but nearly puts one in the Porch in right, dies on the track, Soto runs along the track toward the line and catches, 2 down. And Boone goes to get Gil now. Too late, Boone. That small crack might be decisive.
