Arrggg.. Bad slider just outside middle, but Verdugo misses under, fouls it back. That was the one, Alex. FB above the zone, Judge going, but has to go back as Verdugo fouls it off. FB misses up and away, 1-2 It may be my imagination, but Verdugo has missed more hittable pitches than any other Yankee this season. |

Walls rolls over on a 1st pitch sinker in the zone low/away, goes right to Torres, throws him out, 1 down.

Takes a sinker up in the zone near middle, 1-1
Takes another slider well outside, 2-1
Takes another sinker near middle, this one waist high, 2-2
Then chases the slider way low and away, another Stantonian chase, K, 2 down.

Diaz takes a sinker tailing inside by 2-3 inches, 1-0
Takes a slider waist high, outer 3rd, 1-1
Rushes, flies open on a waist high sinker well inside, taken, 2-1
Fooled!. Thought it was the slider and took a sinker close to middle middle, 2-2
Guesses slider again, and takes one that bounced well outside, 3-21
Sinker in the zone above the waist, outer 3rd at 96, spoils it.
Slider well outside waist high, he starts but checks in time, ball 4.
Man on 1st, 2 outs for Arozarena.

Slider drops into the top of the zone inside middle, taken, 0-1
Chases a slider going way outside, and only his elite bat to ball allows him to even tip it foul, 0-2
Slider to the low outside corner, bounced foul off 3rd. That one shouldn't have been in the zone, Tonkin.
Not a great slider, waist high, outer 3rd, but it had enough drop to get him to roll it over to DJ at 3rd, he goes to Torres for the force, inning over.
Top 8, 4-3 Rays.
Torres, Wells and Volpe for the Yanks against....I'm not sure. Fairbanks for the 9th for sure, and maybe for an out this inning.
