Anyone think there's a correlation to Judge's recent slump and all these games he's been at DH? In 147 games as a DH his line is .281 .413 .561 .974. Almost identical to his line as a RF (his line in CF is the best one). So… no. I don’t believe do. I think he just cooled off. He’ll be back… |

He’ll be back… yeah no one could keep doing what he was doing. nothing to do w dh - in his 4 dh games before the slump he was 10-16 w 2 hr and 6 rbi. unfortunately the team relies so much on him that it really stands out. the slump is over the last 5 games 2-20 w no rbi. seems to be chasing a bit. with the team struggling maybe trying to do too much. |

Misses low wiuth a change, ball 4. Another pitch around BB for Soto.

Curve backs up well up and away, 1-1
Slider on the back door above the knees, taken, 1-2
FB at the top at 96, fouled off.
Cutter above the waist, near the corner away, he goes with it to the left side, just beats Walls' dive to his left, goes off the edge of his mitt into left for a single, Soto gets to 3rd with 2 down.

Torres takes a bad change down the middle below the waist, 0-1
Curve backs way up and in, nearly hits Torres in the head, Torres spins out of there.
FB misses just outside above the waist, 2-1
FB misses just above the outside corner; Jackson tried to pull it down but no sale, 3-1
FB up and in a bit, Torres gets the hands in and lines a sinking liner to left for a hit. Soto scores, Verdugo stops at 2nd with a RBI single, 1-0 Yanks!

Jackson goes out to talk to Pepiot
Wells gets a thigh high FB down the middle, is late and under, fouling it off.
Then swings over a change starting in the same spot, by diving under his swing. Another change, this one outside middle but still low, he tries to check, and K's. Inning over.
Bottom 1, 1-0 Yanks. Now we get to see what, if anything, Rodon has up his sleeve tonight.
