FB just outside, called a strike anwyway, 0% on Gameday, Rodon gets a small break.
And squanders it by leaving a slider at the knees in the middle, and Diaz loops it just over Torres leap for a leadoff single.

A slider just misses the back door but is called strike 2 anyway.
And again Rodon immediately squanderes the gift strike call, leaving a slider in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, rifled down the 3rd base line into the LF corner, where it hangs up, Verdugo can't did it out, Diaz scores on Arozarena's RBI, and Rodon has given the run on the two out single by Torres right back, game tied at 1.

Rosario takes a FB well high, 1-0
Swings under a FB up and in, 1-1.
Change bounced inside, 2-1
Fouls off a FB above the zone, 2-2
Gets a FB on the high outside corner, and Rosario goes with it, a hard grounder through the 34 hole for a single. Soto on it right away, and holds Arozarena at 3rd for the moment, 1st and 3rd, nobody and Rodon looks like crap again.

Parades takes a FB just a bit high, 1-0
Gets a nothing FB in the middle, just above the knees, and puts it way out to left, 4-1 Rays on the 3-run bomb by Paredes.
And again, Rodon has buried them early in a game.
Still think the Yanks' problems are falling behind first every game, YES guys?

Siri takes a curve well high, 1-0
Takes a FB outside, 2-0
Swings over a slider low in the middle, 2-1
Takes a FB outside, 3-1
Misses a FB in the zone up and away, 3-2
Slider at the knees, outer 3rd, but Siri almost hits it out anyway, high fly to deep right is finally the 1st out.

When the Yanks signed Rodon, I thought it was a good move. Paterson tried to convince me it was a bad move, guess he was right.

Goes after a change several inches outside, still hits a fly to medium deep center for the 2nd out.
