Grisham seems to take an inordinate number of strike 3's. Well Yeah ... Thats what .180 hitters do Since Stanton went down and Grisham started getting regular playing time... .282/.349/.513/.862 You're big on OPS...right?? |

Takes a change at the knees, outer 3rd, 1-2
Tries to get the 97.5 FB by him at the high outside corner, fouls it back.
Same pitch maybe another inch or two outside, and he misses it clean for the K.
Weaver dances in and out of trouble, walking back to back hitters, but gets out of it.
Top 8, 2-1 Yanks.
Problem is Weaver used 27 pitches to get through the 7th, and is now questionable for the 8th.
Top of the order for the Yanks, Verdugo, Soto and Judge, maybe against Clevinger, who's on two days' rest.

That is when it is time to call up your AAA roster ... Are they going to be much worse than that???

Slider near middle, but he fouls it off, 1-2
Takes a sweeper low/away 2-2
Slider waist high, outside corner, grounded off the end of the bat up the middle, Wells spears it on the right side of 2nd, and throws on the move on target, one down.

Cleavinger buzzes the tower and Soto spins out of there, 1-0
Takes a huge hack at a slider that hung out of the zone up and in, misses, 1-1
Takes a slider below and inside middle, 1-2
Slider to the knees outside middle, but Soto hits it back up the middle through to center for a 1 out single.

Cleaving steps off.
Another sweeper misses low/away, 2-2
A slider just out of the zone, inside at the knees, Judge fouls it
FB above the waist at 98, inner 3rd, Judge foul tips it into the mitt. K. 2 down.
