J. Lowe takes a slurve for a strike, then almost gets to a splitter on the low outside corner, grounds it up the middle, Volpe just gets to it on the right side of 2nd, fields and throws him out. Not a very inspiring first inning for Stroman, 3 balls hit well, but he got through it scoreless.
Top 2, 0-0. 16 pitces for Stroman in the 1st
Torres, Volpe and Grisham for the Yanks in the 2nd.

Torres takes a sinker just outside, called strike 1. 0% on Gameday by an inch or two.
Cutter catches the bottom of the zone, but called a ball, so a bit of a makeup call, maybe 10% on Gameday
Takes a sweepwer well outside, 2-1
Gets a cutter below middle, but taps it foul off 3rd.
Curve below the zone inside middle, grounded sharply to the left of 2nd, and Palacios goes a long way but was playing that way, backhands, and makes a great throw on the move to get Torres for the 1st out.
