I’d like to show that guy how to use it as a suppository… Man, my grandmother believed in suppositories when I was sick. Now, they have gummies for just about everything. Much better! No enema? |

Soto takes a sweeper high in the middle called a strike anyway, 0% on Gameday by 2-3 inches, bad call.
Takes a cutter up and away, 1-1
Takes a change low near middle, 2-1
Fouls off a waist high cutter on the corner away
Takes his timeout.
Pulls a cutter at the top of the zone, inner 3rd, but lines it foul near the RF mounds.
Change at the knees outside middle, taken for strike 3. Soto doesn't like the call but the only bad call was the first pitch. That one was a 50-50 strike at the bottom. Or maybe he's objecting to this ump giving Eflin both the high and low strike. I dunno.
Inning over.
Bottom 5, 2-0 Yanks.
Eflin has a fast 1-2-3 of his own, just 10 pitches and 76 through 5.
Rortvedt, Walls and back to the top for Diaz for the Rays in their half of the 5th.

Rortvedt takes a sinker low, outer 3rd, 1-0
Gets a bad siknker belwo and inside middle, hit hard to the right of 2nd and Volpe can't reach it even from his shifted position near 2nd, and it's a leadoff single for the Rays.

Sinker outside, 3-1
Sinker waist high, outer 3rd, pulled through the middle to the right of 2nd for a hit, rolls into right center, Rortvedt gets to 3rd easily, 1st and 3rd, nobody out for Diaz and the Yanks are in trouble.

Tales a splitter way low, Gameday hallucinates it's strike 2, but it's 3-1
Cutter down and in, fouled
Splitter below the inner 3rd, fouled down with Diaz running, has to go back.

Bad hanging slurve, Diaz running on the pitch, lined to right center for a hit, Diaz to 3rd with 1 down.
1st and 3rd and Parades up with a chance to kill the game for the Yanks.
Blake again out to give Stroman some rest, and I have no idea how he can get Parades in this spot.
