Yanks waste another chance to tie it or take the lead and even if the pen can hold the Rays in the 8th, not a given, they'll have to get at least 2 in the 9th off of Fairbanks, against whom they've NEVER scored more than 1 run in a inning.

Trevino got jobbed which could’ve changed the inning but once again can’t get it done with men on base.

Caballero takes a slurve that missed up and away, called a strike anyway, bad call, 0% on Gameday and it doesn't make up for the ball 4 called strike 1 on Trevino.
Slurve down and in, chopped to Cabrera, he charges, gloves and throws him out, 2 down.

Takes a cutter out of the zone down and in, 2-2
Takes another FB well high, 3-2
Fouls off a FB at the top outside corner.
Stares at a waist high FB on the corner inside for the ꓘ, inning over.
Top 9, 5-3 Rays and Cabrera, Verdugo and Soto will have to try to get a rally going against Fairbanks, whom the Yanks almost never hit.
