In my preview, I noted that the top 5 hitters in the Rays lineup hit Cortes hard. Diaz 12-30 with 3 doubles, 4 HR and an OPS near 1.300.
Deep drive to center by Diaz should be caught, and Grishman loses it in the ceiling, or maybe it hit the home run catwalk. it lands on the track in centerfield for a leadoff double.

Umps call for a crew chief review. Trying to see if it did hit the HR (lower) catwalk. No evidence that it hit the catwalk, goes as a double.

Takes a cutter low, 1-0
Takes a cutter on the corneraway, 1-1
Takes a cutter high, 2-1
Gets a FB up in the zone, almost down the middle, belted out to left, 2-0 Rays.

Paredes is 6-18 with a double, and 2 solo HR off Nestor.
Takes a FB up and away, 1-0
Takes a slider well outside, called a strike anyway, bad call, not close on Gameday, Nestor got a break there.
Takes a FB on the outer 3rd, 1-2
Chases a change turned over going down and outside for the K, 2 down.

Swings over another turned over change going low and outside the zone, K, inning over.
Top 2, 2-0 Rays. 18 pitches in the first for Nestor; despite the two hits, just 13 pitches for Baz in his 1st inning.
Wells, Volpe and Grisham for the Yanks in the 2nd.

Arozarena was in an awful funk the entire first half until the Yankees played the Rays recently. He started finding his way back during that series.
