Plenty of chances with RISP. Couple balls that didn't fall in. Annoying games at times for sure. Oh well.
2 Behind the Orioles with the ASB after that. Win at least 2 of 3 and end the first half on their heels.
3 big games coming up for sure.

Torres would've walked just by being patient that at bat. Swung at not one, but two FBs that missed and weren't that close. However, if he walked, it still would've been up to Trevino with bases loaded and two outs.
Yanks lose another game, 5-4 and another series. They haven't won any of their last 8 series, have lost 17 of 23 now, and fall back to 17 games over .500 at 56-39. They give the game they gained on the Rays and Red Sos right back to them, and worst of all, blew ANOTHER chance to gain ground on the O"s, who got SWEPT, at HOME, by a Cubs team that came into the series 7 games under and in last place in the Central. You don't get too many gifts like that in a season, and the Yanks peaced it away.

I saw some turn around in this series offense and bullpen looked competitive for first time in a while. Orioles are on a 2-5 slide being outscored by almost 30. Hopefully they can take advantage of that. |

Stupid pinch hit earlier means Trevino is up next instead of Wells. that was a terrible pinch hit. everyone involved had reverse splits. poche not good against LH batters. much better against RH. wells actually hits LH well and trevino doesn't. throw in that trevino has been slumping and is 3 for last 30. nothing about the move made sense. moot because they never got to the trevino. |
