The offense looks fine today. Say what? We only scored on 2 solo homers. 2nd and 3rd no one out in the 1st and can't score? The offense looks like spit. We're literally just swinging for the fences hoping we can outhomer them. |

Caballero takes a cutter well up and away, 1-0
Takes a slider outside middle, 1-1
Fb misses high near the corner away, 2-1
Cutter misses in the same area, 3-1
Chases and misses a FB above the outer half, 3-2
Fouls off a cutter above and outside middle
Slider above and inside middle, popped behind 3rd, Volpe tries to call off Cabrera who doesn't give, they bump as Cabrera reaches up to catch, inning over.
Top 4, 5-2 Rays, as the guys at the top beat up on Nestor yet again. 31 pitches in the 3rd, 67 through 3 for Cortes.
Torres, Wells and Volpe for the Yanks in the 4th.

Yeah, that District Attorney Burger used to get to Perry Mason, too. We never even go to hear a word of testimony. I took all morning to select the jury, and then they said they’d had a hiccup and the case would be tried tomorrow morning, so…back again. Nestor getting knocked around… During the trial tomorrow, at some point stand up and offer the judge some advice. They love that sort of thing.  |

Just a garbage outing by Nestor when the Yankees needed a strong performance. you battle back and tie the game and he goes out and implodes. Honestly he is not the pitcher he was a couple of years ago. May be better suited to bullpen middle relief. Prefer adding another arm at TDL but not sure who is available. |

Sox lead the A's 3-0 in the 3rd.
Torres goes after a 1st pitch a first pitch FB in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, is late and under, high fly to right is out #1.

IF this team even makes the Playoffs, they'll get smoked. Playoffs? They'll be lucky to finish at .500. If they fire Boone and the hitting coaches at the ASB and they get Schmidt back to replace Nestor, they might have a chance at a wild card. |

Slider in the happy zone down and in, he opens up and pulls it foul off 3rd.
Volpe hasn't been going to right for weeks, Flats, the Rays KNOW THAT, and that's why they give him the open right side.
Slider drops onto the outside corner for the ꓘ. Martinal, but 10-20% on Gameday. 2 down.

Unfortunately, there’s just no consistency. Overall, the offense has largely sputtered and the starting pitching is all over the place.
