Grisham takes a slider on the outer 3rd, 0-1 Misses a waist high FB on the corner away at 94.5. 0-2 Takes his timeout. Another "just missed" for the Yanks. FB at the top hit to deep right center, high enough that Siri has time to settle and catch it easily, inning over. 101.6 off the bat, 392 feet, a HR in 10 of 30 parks...worth exactly 0 runs.
Bottom 4, 5-2 Rays. 11 pitches for Baz in the 4th, and 52 through 4.
DeLuca, Jackson and back to the top for Diaz again. If Nestor intends to make it through 4, he'd better get the first two guys out here.

Damn good contact tonight but just not deep enough for some of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Baz has given up some long fly ball outs.

Unfortunately, there’s just no consistency. Overall, the offense has largely sputtered and the starting pitching is all over the place. The starting pitching isn't "all over the place". Cole is coming back from injury and he'll return to form eventually. Gil is a rookie learning and he's worth working through the struggles. Stroman is a guy that is pure competitive but lacks the stuff at this stage in his career. Rodon and Nestor shouldn't be on MLB rosters.

Slider hangs outside, ball 1 Slider outside middle, Deluca chops it off the end of the bat, nearly beats Torres with the weird spin high hop, but he gets it on the OF turf, wheels throws loe, but Rice holds it just ahead of DeLuca for the out, 1 down.

It's called reality. They have 3 holes in the rotation, 7 in the bullpen, another 7 in the starting lineup. This team is toast. Saying a team that is 18 games over 500 won't finish 500 is nuts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Not when they're 16 under .500 in the last month. They have 2 1/2 months to give back what they've gained.

Jackson takes a FB low, 1-0 Misses a cutter inside middle, 1-1 Takes a backdoor slidere that misses the corner by a good 4 inches, Nestor gets the call and a pretty big break, 1-2 FB outside, 2-2 Cutter outside middle, grounder to Torres, easy play, 2 down.

Fanduel still has the Yankees at 96% chance to make the playoffs. I put in a bet last week that they'll miss the playoffs with a pretty big payout.

Baltimore has been outscored 17-2 by the Cubs during their three game series. Make that 18-2. Cubs going for the sweep.

Nestor is lucky that Diaz almost always takes the first pitch, because he took a meatball cutter down and in, 0-1 FB way low/away, 1-1 Change misses well low 2-1 Oh, so that's how Nestor can get Diaz...just leave a slider down the middle and watch him pop foul to Rice near the stands. Inning over.
Top 5, 5-2 Rays.
Cabrera, then back to the top for Verdugo and Soto. Yanks might make a fight of it this inning if Cabrera can lead off by getting on someway. Any way.
