Tries to get him to chase up the ladder, but he takes it for ball 4.

The awful call on the 1st pitch makes him chases a FB further outside and up, fouls it off.
Change winds up low, just outside middle, and golfs a looper to left for a single, his 3rd hit today. Rice stops at 2nd with 2 outs.

Swings early and over a good slider with 2 plane break that winds up in the zone low/away, 1-1
Takes the slider outside at the knees, 2-1
