Judge takes a thigh high cutter inside middle, 0-1
Fouls off a cutter in the zone up and in.
Slider bounced outside, 1-2
Closer slider still missed by plenty, taken, 2-2
Slider waist high, outside corner, swing and a miss, K, 2 down.

News reporting it was a small pop and may have been somthing like a firecracker. Still dangerous to set off even a small firecraker at someone's head. Have to wait and get the full story. Cutter near middle, Rice pops it to short left, Cowser comes in and catches, inning over. Bottom 9, Yanks up 6-1 Cousins coming in to try and close it out against Westburg, Mountcastle and Mullins. |

just got home to see us up 6-1. HRs by the usual suspects plus a big 3 run blast in the 1st by wells. looks like a good start by gil. cousins in to close it.

Slider backs up inside, Westburg starts but checks in time. 1-0
Slider in the zone below and outside middle, 1-1
Leaves a slider thigh high in the middle, but Westburg misses under, pops to shortish left center, Grisham comes in to his right and catches, 1 down.

Slider backs up and in, hits the corenr, but RandomKZone says no strike. 30-40% on Gameday.
Slider in the middle just low, Mountcastle lines it to left center for a 1 out single.

Cowser takes a slider well down and in, 1-0
I wonder if Cousins gets in trouble whether Boone goes to Weaver here. He had the much shorter outing last night.
Cousins hangs a spike, missing down and in with a sinker.
And the Weaver/Holmes question becomes moot as Cowser rolls over on a slider down and in, grounds to Rice LeMahieu, who steps on 1st and throws to Volpe to complete the 3-3-6 DP, ending the game.
Yanks win back-to-back games and a series for the first time in a month, moving back to 19 games over .500 at 58-39 with 1 game to go before the All-Star break. They also move back into a tie for first with the O's, although the O's are at .600 and the Yanks are at .598.
