Search for the mlb channel and make sure you can connect to the live stream there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk yeah looks like you can stream roku through mlb.tv. Ok so if you don't to deal with this dumb Roku crap what bumper says does work. The game is NOT blacked out since it doesn't air on any local tv channel so you can use your MLB TV account and just sign up for the 7 day trial to watch the game (if you don't have MLB TV already) then cancel after the game ends. Now since I'm using MLB TV the Xbox and PS5 have that app and I dont have to use the decade old fire stick.

The O's send Dean Kremer to the mound this morning trying to avoid being swept for an entire 6-game homestand. He started against the Yanks in the first series in Baltimore, so there's no need to rehash his career up to that point. After that start, he made three more before suffering a right triceps strain that put him on the IL for 6 weeks. He's come off the IL for one excellent if brief start againist the Mariners (5 shutout innings) and one thumping at the hands of the Cubs in the first game of the homestand (7 runs, 5 earned, in just 4 innings, with 2 HR allowed). Since the game against the Yanks, Kremer is 2-3 in 5 starts with a 4.74 ERA. On the season, he's 4-5 in 11 starts with an ERA of 4.42. In 59 innings, he's allowed 47 hits, 37 runs, 29 earned, 12 HR, 23 BB and struck out 60. His WHIP so far this season is a still-solid 1.186.
Against the Yanks, Kremer is making his 11th career start. They beat on him his first three years in the league, but he started to turn things around, pitching one great game and 2 so-so games against them last year. In 10 starts against New York, Kremer is 3-3 with a 4.70 ERA. In 51 2/3 innings, he's allowed 50 hits, 28 runs, 27 earned, 11 HR, 21 BB and struck out 58. His WHIP against the Yanks is 1.374 and their team quadruple slash line against him is .254/.327/.467/.794. His start against them in April was solid: 7 innings, 4 hits, 4 BB and 2 HR, but the two solo HRs were the only runs the Yanks got off him. He K'd 4 and got the W in a 4-2 O's win.
Repertoire: Kremer is a 5-pitch righty. 4-seamer, cutter, splitter, sinker and curve, in order of usage. The 4-seamer gets near-elite "rise" and decent "run". The cutter drops less than average but has more horizontal break. The splitter gets much less drop than the average splitter and a little less than average "tail". It's thrown at far less velocity than the 3 fastball-types (4 seam, sinker, cutter) and functions more like a change. The sinker gets less than average drops and limited tail arm-side. The curve gets better than average drop and less glove-side break than average. By run values, none of the five pitches have been much of a plus or minus; all five are within 0 and -0.5 runs per 100 thrown. The FB velocity is below average, the spin is about average and his extension is below average. The curve spin is well above average. His hard hit rate is about MLB average for starters, but the barrel rate would be the worst among 71 qualified pitchers if he had enough innings/pitches. His line drive is better than average, the ground ball rate below average, the flyball rate above average and the popup rate right around average for starters. He's been very lucky with a BABIP of .227, and very unlucky with a strand rate of just 63%, and with his HR/FB rate as well, 17% vs. the average for starters of 11%. His ERA estimators are all over the place, two say his ERA should be 1/2 run to a run higher, one says it should be 1/2 run lower. The current pitch mix though 11 starts: 4-seamer averaging 93-4 about 35% of the time, cutter 87 about 29%, splitter 84 about 13%, sinker 92 about 12%, and curve 77-8 about 11% of the time.

Playing the name game...We did the name game for him back in April. A dozen MLB players with first name Dean, and about twice as many with last name Dean. Of the former, the best is Dean Chance, and excellent starter for the Angels and Twins before he hurt his arm. Over 7 seasons from 1962 through 1968, he won 104 games with a 2.72 ERA, wining the AL Cy Young Award in 1964 in his the first of his two 20-win seasons. Of the latter, the best was Hall of Famer Jay Hanna "Dizzy" Dean, who made the Hall on the basis of 5 sensational seasons from 1932-1936, winning 120 games, including being the last NL pitcher to ever win 30 games in a season in 1934. He also carried the Cards to the title that year by winning 3 games in the World Series. Unfortunately he hurt his arm by changing his pitching motion to compensate for a broken toe suffered when he got hit by a line drive at the 1937 All-Star game, and declined swiftly after 1937. The other Kremer in MLB history was a very good pitcher himself, Ray Kremer, who won 143 games in a 10-year period for the Pirates from 1924-1933. Kremer was one of the key starters on the Pirates team that won it all in 1925, and got swept by the Murderer's Row Yankees in the 1927 World Series.

The Yanks are forced to send out Carlos Rodon to try for the sweep; they haven't had any days off and therefore can't start anyone else. Rodon has been dreadful in his last 5 starts, losing all five and burying them in deep holes early in 4 of the 5. He hasn't made it to the 6th in any of the five starts, allowing 36 hits and 28 ER in 23 innings, including 8 HR. Thanks to a very good if deceptive start, he's 9-7 on the season with a 4.63 ERA. In 19 starts, he's pitched 103 innings, allowing 100 hits, 55 runs, 53 earned, 19 HR and 30 BB, while striking out 105. He was among the league leaders in wins and ERA before this dreadful stretch, but the only categories in which Rodon is in the AL top 10 right now are runs allowed (5th), earned runs allowed (4th) and HR allowed (2nd, tied with Tristan McKenzie of the Guardians and behind only Jose Berrios of the Jays).
Rodon's record against the O's is possibly worse than his season record. In 5 starts and one relief game, he's 0-3 with a 5.74 ERA. In 26 2/3 innings, he's allowed 30 hits, 22 runs, 17 earned, 5 HR, 9 BB and struck out 34. His WHIP against the O's is 1.463 and their team quaruple slash line against him is .270/.333/.496/.829 (the average O's hitter is hitting like this year's Brian Reynolds does full-time against Rodon). The stats were significantly worsened by the only beating Rodon took before this craptastic 5-game run: in early May, he was knocked out by the Orioles in the 5th, having gone 4+ innings, allowing 8 hits, 7 runs, 6 earned, and 3 HR, and the 6-0 K/BB ratio was just for show.
