I can’t remember ever landing short of IB like that, with just a scraping toe… I did it once at 2b but it was my heel that scraped the backside of the base. I mistimed it and thought my heel was going to catch the corner and I didn't want to turn an ankle so I extended my stride and just barely scraped the bag as my foot came down. I made it to 3rd and the opposing team appealed saying I missed 2b. The Ump agreed and called me out. I knew it looked awkward so I didn't argue. I knew the Ump pretty well and later told him my heel did scrape the bag and he said he couldn't tell but it just looked funny. Funny that I still remember that play even though it was over 35 years ago. |

That’s been a day or two… it’s strange that some of the plays seem to just “stick”. And certain golf shots, too. Ang a few moments on the bowling lanes. So are positive recollects. Some, like your situation are a bit stressful… |

Oh crap. Say it ain’t so, Matt. I noticed the Pharmacy at City Market was loaded with tests and ads for the “new” all natural vaccines…. I advocate and commend natural vaccines like Haagen-Dazs and Ben and Jerry's. Mmm, now I'm in the mood for either Haagen-Daz coffee ice cream or Ben and Jerry's chunky monkey ice cream. |
