Not a fan of all these DH games for Judge. Did they not notice how much better he hit the first two games in Baltimore when he was playing in the field? Soto apparently likes it less. So, I dunno. |

Cutter on the outer 3rd, takes that one too, 0-2
Cutter in the drop the bat happy zone, he drops the bat on it but pulls it down the line, well foul.
FB on the outside corner at 97, fouled off.
Cutter hangs outside, 1-2
Curve on the outer 3rd, below the waist, serves a fliner to left, Verdugo thinks about charging and trying for a diving catch, then pulls up to let it drop in for a leadoff single. Bad start after getting ahead 0-2, 4 more pitches and a man on base.

Cutter on the corner away, fouled off, 1-1
Takes a FB well above middle at 96, 2-1
FB up in the zone outside middle at 98, Paredes a bit late and under, fouls it off the right side, 2-2
Takes his timeout
FB in the middle but near top at 97, he's late and under it, pops it to short right, Soto gets there, catches, and tries to throw behind Palacios, but he gets back, 1 down.

Gets a waist high FB at 97 on the outer 3rd, fouled off.
Backdoor cutter misses waist high, outside, 1-1
Cutter stays well above the outside corner, 2-1
Throw over on Palacios.
1st curve of the night misses low, inside middle, 3-1
FB above the waist, outer 3rd at 98, swings a bit late and under, misses, 3-2
Takes his timeout.
Spoils another 98 FB at the top, on the inner 3rd, 3-2 still
He fell behind both Paredes and B. Lowe, Paulie.

When was the last time a Yankee catcher threw a base stealer? I know it's not all their fault, but you'd think they'd get lucky once in a while.

If cole is questioning that call, he's kidding himself, it missed by at least 3 inches away.
Takes a corner on the inside corner, but Palacios got a big jump and stole 2nd.
Chases a cutter that goes just out of the zone low/away. 1-2
And then chases an even worse coutter about 6-8 inches outside, knee high for the K, inning over.
Bottom 2, 0-0
22 pitches in the 1st for Cole.

When was the last time a Yankee catcher threw a base stealer? I know it's not all their fault, but you'd think they'd get lucky once in a while. Trevino threw out Arozarena in the 2nd game in Tampa, the one they won 2-1 against Eflin. |

Waist high sinker outside, slapped to left, falls in front of Arozarena for a 1 out single
Eflin continues to allow Soto to get singles off him, knowing his good record against the rest of the team.
