For years it was so easy. The Willie Mays Died. I’m nominating Mike Schmidt… who else could own that title?

This is a tough call.
Bonds Griffey (in his prime) Trout

In a vacuum...it's Bonds. But, 'roids.
I'd say Griffey, Jr. for hitters.
Pitchers - Koufax, Ryan, or the Big Unit.

I thought about making this a poll, but decided it would be better if you guys hauled your own faves names in here…
Rickey Henderson also has to get a nod for offense…

I watched the Yogi Berra documentary, "It Ain't Over" the other night and when baseball celebrated the 4 greatest living players by fan vote in 2015, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Johnny Bench and Sandy Koufax were chosen. Yogi's granddaughter was with him that night and contended that Yogi should have been there. I agree, Koufax had five good seasons and I don't think I need to go over Berra's baseball achievements, so there really shouldn't be any argument.
I'll have to think about who it is now.

For pitchers, I think it's Greg Maddux. For position players probably Griffey, but (as much as it pains me) I'll throw George Brett into the discussion. If I had to choose Schmidt or Brett for 3B, I'd go Brett. Of course, Nettles was a better fielder than both!

Best I've ever seen play is Griffey Jr. His swing was greatness and he just glided in the OF. Age and injuries did slow him down in Cincy but he was one of the best all-time. I also throw A-Rod in there. A-Rod was MVP material every year. Because Bonds played his career in the NL I didn't see him play except highlights so I can't judge fairly.

For pitchers I'm saying Clemens. Dude was a beast his entire career. He would take the ball and throw it at you as hard as he could and just say FU hit it.

The Clemens Piazza thing was overblown. Plus Piazza was coke head his entire career.
As a SP Clemens was a beast for over 20 seasons.
