Just play Cabrera every day. DJ is cooked. His OPS is well below the Womack line. DJ's numbers are worse than Donaldson and Hick's when they were released, but contracts matter. DJ seems like a proud guy, I know it's a lot of money but I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire after this season. Am I really naive?

It didn't work out, but I for one have no problem with one of the best hitters in MLB getting the green light 3-0. If you swing there, you need to drive the ball into the outfield, instead Baz gets a gift.

Siri takes a sinker below middle, 0-1 Fouls off a slurve off the plate away, 0-2 Fouls off a slider waist high, outside. Takes a slider well low/away, 1-2 Goes after a curve to the same spot, pops to Volpe, 1 down.

I know were not supposed to talk politics but Joe Biden just dropped out of the election. Pretty important news. You think he can hit ???? He wouldn't be worse than some of the "hitters" we've seen.

Walls takes a slurve outside, 1-0 A sinker outside by a few inches, 2-0 Fouls off a sinker in the zone low/away, 2-1 Cutter to the inner 3rd clips the very bottom of the zone, called strike 2. 10% on Gameday Slider down and makes him Jackknife them walk across the plate, 3-2 Stroman does the right thing, challenging Walls with a sinker above the knees near middle, he pulls it to the right of 2nd, Torres backhands and throws on the move away from first, on target, 2 down.

Palacios takes a thigh high slurve outside, 1-0 Cutter waist high, inner 3rd, ties him up a bit, fouled, 1-1 Sinker gets a tiny piece of the low inside corner, not called. <5% on Gameday, so...marginal, 2-1 Slurve down and in, pulled hard but foul, 2-2 Cutter into the top of the zone near middle, tries to check, can't, K, inning over.
Bottom 3, 1-0 Rays. Solid 1-2-3 for Stroman; 16 pitches and 43 through 3. Judge, Wells and Torres for the Yanks in their half of the 3rd.

I know were not supposed to talk politics but Joe Biden just dropped out of the election. Pretty important news. Indeed. The next move will interesting, too. Does Kamala headline now? Michelle Obama? Hillary? Someone we never thought of?… In any event, the Trump campaign will now have to shift strategy. They have a new opponent…
