Judge swings under a 95 FB at the top, 0-1 Swings over a splitter going low near middle, 0-2 Takes his timeout Takes a FB outside, 1-2 Takes a splitter low, 2-2 Gets a waist high slider on the outer 3rd, huge hack, misses under it for the K, inning over.
Littell, not a high K pitcher, strikes out the side in the first on 13 pitches, all 3 swinging. Not a high swing and miss pitcher, either. Terrible start for the lineup.
Top 2nd, 0-0 Arozarena, B. Lowe and Siri for the Rays in the 2nd.

Alex Verdugo, last 30 games: 16-112, 4 doubles, 1 HR, 7 runs, 5 RBI, 8 BB, 23 K, .143/.200/.205/.405 DJ LeMahieu, season TOTAL (39 games): 22-124, 3 doubles, 0 HR, 11 runs, 11 RBI, 15 BB, 23 K, .177/.270/.202/.471 Anthony Volpe, last 38 games: 30-162, 9 doubles, 1 triple, 9 HR, 17 runs, 10 RBI, 7 BB, 38 K, .185/.219/.253/472 Holy crap !! I think the team is being drugged ... check the water cooler Those numbers are almost impossible for 3 MLB players in the same lineup

Arozarena takes a 1st pitch curve above middle, 0-1 FB on the low outside corner, nicks it, taken, 0-2 FB in the zone a bit above and inside middle, swung on and missed, K, 1 down.

B. Lowe... Takes a FB well outside at the top, 1-0 Swings over a slider, thigh high and middle, 1-1 Takes a FB just outside, 2-1 Another FB outside below the waist, 3-1 FB misses 3-4 inches outside, thigh high, ball 4. Rodon has to pitch from the stretch now.

Siri... Rodon throws over Siri takes a FB in the zone down and in. Don't give him another one of those, Carlos. Chases a change way low, outside middle, 0-2 Swings over an excellent back leg slider for the K, 2 down.

great start for the yankee offense - 3Ks. Well it is the dangerous former Yankee castoff Zack Littell ... who typically averges less the a K per inning

Caballerto takes a FB that missed by an inch or two up and away, 1-0 Lowe goes, and the FB above middle is fouled, 1-1 Change on the back door, low in the zone, rolled over to Volpe, he goes to Cabrera for the force to end the inning.
Bottom 2, 0-0. Another good inning for Rodon; 14 pitches and 29 through 2.
Wells, Volpe and Verdugo for the Yanks in the 2nd.

Wells takes a 1st pitch FB going low outside middle, 1-0 Splitter to the low inside corner, turns on it and pulls it foul, 1-1 Leaves the slider in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, and he drops the bat on it and gets happy, the fliner down the line settles into about the 5th row of the Porch for a solo HR, his 7th of the season, Yanks take a 1-0 lead!

Off topic a bit, but I was doing some research on a player I won’t name. AI stated that said player had 5 seasons in double figures in triples, including two seasons of leading the league with a career high of 9.
AI may have a way to go before it takes over…
