The situation with Judge having no protection behind him is really bad for the game. I mean Ruth had Gehrig behind him, Maris had Mantle...that's how they got to hit 60 and 61 HR's (respectively) in a season. Seriously, it will be a shame if Judge ends the season only a couple of home runs shy of his AL record, because pitchers realize all other hitters in the lineup after him, are no threat to them, and as a result he winds up getting "intentional" walks (though it won't be recorded as such in the record books) 2 or 3 times a game. Fans deserve better...Hal needs to see this!

Last used in January of 2020. Then stopped for some weird reason. I retired on January 8 2020 and on January 9 we were on a plane to Nice in the south of France. We spent a month there, then a few weeks in Florence, then visited friends in Paris before heading home just as Covid restrictions were coming in. We were so fortunate in our timing. Of course by mid-May we were back on the road again in Jekyll Island GA, which was the first place we found open again for business. I have to admit it was nice traveling with almost no traffic. But I wouldn't want to go back to it. Yes, in my previous post I mentioned the last few pages of the thread have you posting about your retirement. It can be fun and nostalgic to read old threads. Its like a time capsule that preserves our old selves.

Torres checks on a change at the bottom but it's a strike taking or swinging, 0-1 Fat FB inside middle, Torres misses it with a foul tip, 0-2 Torres resets by using his timeout. Curve is bounced, Volpe takes off and gets himself a "delayed stolen base" Head's up running by Volpe there. Change misses well below the outside corner, 2-2

Man, it is really good to hear Coney in the booth. I've missed him. By the way, good evening all ye merry gentlemen and ladies! Tip of the topper to you Monsieur Rizz. Right ho, Pipps! “He had the look of one who had drunk the cup of life and found a dead beetle at the bottom.”

"stolen base" changed to a wild pitch as it should be, because he didn't go on the pitch, but on the bounce. Change misses low in the middle, 3-2 Back leg curve, misses by enough and Torres isn't tempted, ball 4. 1st and 2nd, one out, and this would be a great time for Verdugo to wake up out of his coma.

Sinker taken outside, ball 1. Verdugo with a weird looking drag bunt to the right side of the mound, Quintana comes off, glove flips it to Alonso, sac bunt, runners to 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. 1st sac bunt by Verdugo in 6 years.
